ABOUT OUR FOUNDER:
Within 6 months, I had 10,000 followers and I was growing every day. Every Sunday night, my Q&A sessions would queue up with 100’s of ✉️ notifications and it was clear to me that I’d built a strong community that were invested in my content and brand.
The pipeline from community-building on Tumblr to working in Organic Social agency-side truly needs to be studied!
I’m Gabi, founder of Psychqi Studio.
I’ve specialised in Social Media, Marketing and Content Creation agency-side for 5+ years, but the truth is I’ve been building brands since I was 14.
My first project began on Tumblr 13 years ago. I built a blog called ‘Fiji Islands’ from scratch, inspired by the time in my childhood I spent living in Fiji.
It was here that I started posting my photography of the ocean and island life, followed by sketches of poetry and writing that collectively amassed hundreds of millions of re-shares.
I was hooked. Try telling 14 year old me to stop scheduling content until 2am…
All I know is that we’ve been studying algorithms and consumer behaviour since before Instagram was a thing. And when your brain works in this way, it gives you a creative edge that bridges the art (content) with the science (strategy).
This strategic vantage point means we can jump platform to platform and know what performs. It doesn’t matter how much the platforms change, we’re ahead of the curve. In fact, we actually enjoy this little dance.
